The operation of the Dry Syrup Powder Filling & Sealing Machine is described as follows:

Container Feeding: The dried, sterilized, and siliconized containers are fed through the Infeed Turn Table onto the Infeed Delrin slat conveyor belt at the required speed. The containers are then transferred to the infeed starwheel, which spaces them correctly.

Filling: The containers move below the funnel plate with 16 funnels mounted on it. The powder wheel, mounted on the center pipe, rotates at a pre-set speed below the powder hopper. The powder stored in the hopper is agitated by mechanical agitators to maintain consistency and uniform bulk density. The powder wheel has pistons in each port, and as it rotates, a precise volume of powder is sucked into each port during vacuum according to the piston length. Excess powder is doctored off by a doctor blade.

Powder Discharge: When the powder wheel reaches a vertical position, a time dose of compressed air, sterilized low-pressure air, or nitrogen gas sequentially flushes out the powder from the port of the powder wheel into the funnel. The funnel breaks any solid slug of powder, and the powder starts to fill inside the moving bottle, taking around 5 to 6 seconds for filling.

Cap Sealing: The filled bottles reach the exit starwheel, where they pick up ROPP caps from the exit end of the chute. The caps are automatically oriented in the right direction before entering the delivery chute. The bottles enter below the sealing head, which consists of four rollers. Two rollers properly skirt, spin, and seal the cap, while the other two rollers perform a perfect thread according to the bottle neck diameter.

Exit: After the sealing operation, the sealing head moves upward with the help of a cam, and the sealed bottles move into the exit starwheel. They then continue on the conveyor for further processing or packaging.
